Took my loaner truck to an independent with a brake dragging this morning. It was diagnosed as a leaking valve hqving something to do with the chamber. Disc brakes on a 2020 tractor. They couldn’t locate a chamber anywhere. I left the truck at 12:45 today. At 14:30 I get a call saying that they took apart something and cleaned everything up and it’s not leaking air anymore. I’ll pick it up along with my loaded tanker and go about my business.

Just curious, but what do you do to kill the time? Watch certain tv shows, go sightseeing, or what? One time at Crete, I was stuck at the Denver dealership so went out sightseeing for the day. When I got back there was a message to call Janelle right away & she chewed me out. She said I was supposed to remain at the hotel all the time, lol.

They took me to the hotel Monday afternoon and I walked to a C-store for some supplies, then walked to Hardee's next door for supper. Other than that, I sat watching TV Monday evening. Where the dealer is, there isn't much other than hotels, a Denny's, Awful House and a Hardee's. Then it was a nice morning Tuesday so I walked back to the dealer (less than a mile). I spent some time back at the dealer until I found out about the missing tool not being delivered. It was still nice so I got clean clothes and walked to a different hotel, then called the breakdown department, and then just chilled in the room until supper and walked to Awful House for a breakfast supper. Then brought it back to the room. After dinner I got on here and posted stuff, then watched tv.

If I had Janelle as a fleet manager, and she did that, I would have explained to her the proper process of shoving it up her anal canal. I have a cell, and I am reachable 16-18 hours a day, and when I am sleeping, please leave a message after the beep. That kind of b.s. is part of the reason I left that godawful company

It's Janelle. She is one of the few remaining terminal managers that have been there forever, so she does what it take to keep her job, and that kind of expectation sounds like what Lincoln wants in case they want you to jump into action when they make their half assed decisions

    Update:
Today the driver’s window regulator cable blew through the channel it rides in. The window was stuck down. Our shop here in Canada put it back up. The part is of course on backorder.

Another thing I like about SPD over Brand X (my new name for Creaffer)...while sitting here broke down, I am still being paid my daily minimum pay rate since I am available (even though the truck isn't). Creaffer would have been tripping over themselves days ago trying to figure out how to get me moving the best way to save them the most money or threaten to pull my motel money if I didn't go do some b.s. that wouldn't have gotten me moving under a load more than a day sooner.

My truck is still being worked on, but it is plugged into the dealers equipment, so progress is being made. I hope they get it done today...my stomach has had enough of Awful House...I may have to play food poison roulette and eat at Denny's if I have to spend another night in a motel.

I broke down in Hot Springs, Arkansas while working for Crete. The Intercraptional I was driving had a bad turbo and a few other things. I had to check out of the hotel each day and spend it at the dealer, then the service manager gave me a ride back to the motel in the evening. Four days I did this.
