Nice easy broker Load from mi to LA over the holiday. Do you know how I know it’s a broker load? Because at 0501 my phone started ringing. He wanted to know what my eta was, on a 0600-1430 pickup window. I was super pleasant with my response. E38E3053-82DB-4BA5-8146-00DB801F60B9.jpeg

I have my phone set to roll over to the Naval Observatory time number when I am out of cell service, in do not disturb mode or in airplane mode...at night, the only people who can get thru to me is my family or SPD...anyone else gets "at the tone, current time is...."

Unload went without a hitch, other than that rigged air line for the slide pins getting drug (dragged) in 2 spots. Headed to the yard and swapped to a step deck....and loaded ---------

2 stop delivery. 3 units kick off in Jacksonville, 1 in Orlando...then unload my arse at the house. And now I have an annual permit for FL so I can run a 53' spread...

Nice. I swear almost every month we get a hard rain right before they bring 100+ skid steers over. Nice to load right off the yard though.

Yeah, these suckers are a mess. I was one of a half dozen drivers picking up these machines (mostly Wylie drivers), I was the ONLY driver who attempted to clear some of the mud off of them. I think I removed a hundred or so pounds of mud at the yard. Then when I stopped for my 1st load check, the moving air from rolling down the road dried some more out, so I took more off. This is one load that will most definitely have to be pressure washed before delivery.

I found out I was hauling these from Scott. He told me what trailer to hook to and we had me loaded and I had the paperwork and my Florida permit before my load info ever hit my Peoplenet. And I spoke briefly with Bridgit. She was curious about how things went with my biggest load thus far. I even got a digital pat on the back from @The Block Robert for a successful trip...it's refreshing to hear positive things from folks when you do it right...places like Creaffer could learn a thing or two from this place.

That step box would be nice…hopefully the give you the back wall storage option unless you prefer a double bunk. Maybe your series of MX-13’s won’t have injector issues…fingers crossed. Overall I enjoy my T680, for how it’s spec’d it’s a nice ride.

Well, my day isn't starting out so good. Got rolling, and before it got hot

I threw a shoe tread. Fortunately I was almost to a Love's, AND this trailer has a spare. Now cue the "Final Jeopardy" theme while I wait to get into the shop to mount it. I can only imagine the wait time if I didn't have a spare. 255-75-22.5 might be a odd size to find on a holiday.

Almost 2 hours later, I am still waiting...all shop work has to wait while the shop staff goes around and picks up the trash cans and dumps them....Really? Now, we've all seen Love's with overflowing trash cans,..but that should be a little lower on the priority scale IMO. To hold up doing work to driver's equipment which generates revenue might be a higher priority... just my opinion...what do I know.

If the shop is hitting revenue targets but the manager keeps getting dinged by their district manager over trash, it's an easy choice for the manager - the manager has no real care about revenue, but they do care about getting hassled so they will do things to avoid getting hasseled.

Love’s is becoming it’s own unique experience anymore. Kinda like Wally world. Go in with the lowest of expectations so you don’t leave disappointed.
