Sounds like a company that doesn't care about their drivers needs. Very similar to the Pilot takeover of Flying J, just do it the Pilot way and they will accept it don't worry.

We have unlimited pc miles. Nobody is required to stay at the terminal, I’d bet they would even prefer if you swapped and left. We only have so much space. At the beginning and end of each month we have around 100 trucks per week picking up at our retender operation. It’s a bit chaotic.

they are supposed to be building a brand new Loves right down the street, it was approved in April.

Mike sent out something a while back limiting our PC miles because so many were abusing it. I think it was like 50 miles/day, total.

By the time they get that Love's open, we'll have a white "W" logo on our door.

They knew when their lease on the old place was up, should have had a place picked out and under contract way before. The way this whole deal felt, it almost seemed like it was a surprise that we had to move in a hurry.

And it almost sounds like I might be off all weekend. I told my dispatcher when I would be available as soon as I had a delivery appointment set...he didn't sound to optimistic that I would be moving before Monday... So possibly no swapping for me.

I must have missed it. I’ve pc’ed 200 miles home before and nothing was said. There used to be a limit of 50 miles on our peoplenet. Spd or peoplenet turned it off.

Well I got a load, a 4 stop tarp load. Park City, KS to Shelbyville, KY, McMurray, PA, Newark, NJ, and Holbrook, NY (on the island)...beats sitting until Monday, but only by a little.

Just got the pay settlement for last pay period. I was paid my full two week salary for driving 215 miles. 1470 cents per mile, on a base rate of 64 CPM. I try to tell guys to not get hung up on the base rate here! Haha.

I got mine too, and I am bummed big time. I will end up running more miles, worked harder, and stayed out more than the average of the last 2 years pulling reefer, but I will gross less. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad money, but working harder for less has put a serious pause on my enthusiasm about open deck, and has me considering a permanent retirement from open deck and a return to door slamming reefer freight. Especially if they go thru with what has been talked about with going to full per mile for everyone and the alignment of pay packages with Wylie's.

Have you run the numbers on moving to CPM. I know you like the program you’re on for stability but when I ran the numbers for me, it was way lower then what I make now.

Yeah but who would you go with? Given your need for better than average healthcare and pay?

This year and I suspect next are definitely not what we had last year, and if you don’t care about the differences in activity level and can find the right home it may work out for you. I just couldn’t handle all of the sitting around and waiting for someone to come and unload me, those days are over lol.
