Seems like it would Be best to broker the loads we can’t cover to sister companies. Cotc has been hauling out of Wichita for years. We share a lot of texas freight with Lonestar. We are all one big happy family here at Daseke.

I’ve just been trudging right along in recap land. I don’t understand why guys chose to run this way. Fortunately it’s been nothing but oversize since I left the house so it has not slowed me down too much.

Swapped cans with a driver on Saturday, delivered in sc today, picking up an oversize trailer heading for texas in the morning.

I think it’s more towards unattended trucks than anything…

If you're really worried, check your tires for chalk marks. If there are any chalk marks, clean them off, then roll forward and backwards. Next time they come to check, you'll look "new".

I know they have numbered the parking spots so I wasn't sure if they use some sort of plate reading technology to track who parked where. I know the JB Hunt O/O parked in the row in front of me got in a car with NJ plates and left, so I guess he isn't too worried about getting ticketed and/or towed.

I've been doing more recap running this tour as well. I agree, running recaps suck.

Not sure what I am doing after my final delivery this morning. My backup travel agent called yesterday morning to verify my PTA, but nothing appeared before they went home, so who knows. And right now, I really don't care. Still in a lousy mood, so if they offered me a load that got me home 14 days early, I wouldn't argue. That's how little I care right now.

It’s like a rorschach test. Look at this and tell me what you see. Looks like some ######## the last left for me to deal with. IMG_6032.jpeg

Rant time....I hope when all the icecaps melt and our coastal states get flooded, I hope Long Island goes first!!!! Why in hell would anyone want to live anywhere near there. When I die, and it's time to calculate how much time I'll have to spend in purgatory, St. Peter will look at my accomplishments on earth and say "I see you delivered in Long Island a couple times a year, you've done your time, c'mon in and relax". On the way on to the island, 2 hours between the Throgs Neck bridge and the ramp on to 495 EB. It's only 0.9 of a mile from where I had to stop to the ramp...2 friggin hours. Then, on the way back out, the f-tard roadwork geniuses decide to do not one, but two different projects going back over it to leave. Makes me long for L.A. traffic.

Speaking of L.A., my next load picks up west of Philly going to Long Beach by the end of the pay period...another tarp load, but it won't be ready to load until after midnight tonight, but has to be loaded before noon tomorrow.

That’s why you get paid the big bucks. I’ve BTDT and I don’t miss it for ten bucks a mile.
