If you go back to refer hopefully you won’t get another Freightliner.

You do get it’s how they are spec’d, some 860’s are quite nice inside, some even come with X-15’s….

Just like some of the newer 680’s are well spec’d, I prefer mine over our new Freight shakers for example. If I were living on the road pulling a box or reefer and wanted a larger bunk I might go for a Volvo, I like them more than the ultraloft and KW is killing the studio sleeper.

No matter how you spec them, they can't change the interior dimensions. The only part of the interior I like is the huge fridge. They put the HVAC controls and 2 12v outlets on the driver's side, but have no place to set your phone. There is a shelf on the passneger side, but no outlets. If you want to watch TV, you have to sit or lay with your head on the driver's side and where the tv mount is located, it blocks an entire compartment. With these Carrier APU's, almost the entire passenger side sidebox is taken up by the HVAC's components. The front part of the cab is cramped. If you want to slide the seat back so you can stretch your legs, you have to sit straight up, if you want to lean the seat back, then you have to sit with your legs bent at an uncomfortable angle(and I am only 5'9"). All the switches are backwards, down is on, up is off. And the ride is worse than the old Macks with the camel back spring suspension. The only positive I can find about how it drives is it has both diff lock and axle lock so getting out of some of the places we deliver is easier. Honestly, I am glad SPD/We-lie stopped buying them. My basic model Pinnacle at Moore was a more comfortable truck.

Pretty bad when a mack is more comfortable than a volvo. We used to have mac trucks although I dont think they were pinnacles. I drove one a couple of trips and if dispatch told me one was mine I would have handed him the keys back

Lol it is a Volvo after all, kind of the same thing with respect to switchgear in their cars.

I do enjoy the 680 interior as far as modern trucks go, and I’m not a pack rat and tend to live with less stuff than many but yeah the under bunk when you have the sittee in any truck gets filled up quick when you run an APU. Since I hope to never go back to box or refeer I’m in mid roofs anyway and my next ride will be a Cascadia or Western Star 57x so I’m in my last nice truck now lol.

Unfortunately unless you can go to someone like Bolt or ARI and roll your own there aren’t really any cool interiors out there. It’s all a matter of running cables and adjusting things to work for you and since we’re all different, we’ll you get the rest :).

    Lonesome Thanks this.

I think I am gonna have to take a page from @kylefitzy 's home time agenda. My tarps are cruddy, so I guess I'll have to pressure wash them. They are so bad that I look like this after tarping

Looks like things are starting to progress towards our big swap from Peoplenet to Samsara. We got a message that our monthly safety videos are Samsara training videos. They wouldn't have us do them this soon unless they were about to start swapping over so we don't forget what we've learned.

Love's in Albany GA has a Bojangles that still has bone-in chicken AND cajun pintos. There is hope for the franchise after all

They have already started swapping drive cams. For now the driver facing camera is covered. For now.

I hear all Daseke company’s are going to Samsera.
