they have publicly praised drivers in the past. We had one narrowly avoid a 4 that crossed the median at full send. Another guy missed a kid on a bike that popped out from behind a parked car.

personally, the less I have to talk with Drew, the better.

if it’s wrapped in white plastics and legal width it’s probably a pool bulkhead. They go at each end of large swimming pools. Usually at college campuses, in towns that we have no business taking a 80-90 foot trailer that doesn’t steer. I’ve so far lucked out and haven’t had to do one.

It's good that they acknowledge the positive times and not just the screw ups. Drew has already called me more times than Tim did(Tim called me only once)...and it's mostly been because I was keeping pace with traffic in Cali.

Yeah we had a guy in safety who liked to watch the speed gage online when drivers were in CA and would call if you were doing over say 58 mph. One day he called while I was headed down Hwy 58 around Edwards AFB, a CHP DOT truck was passing by me on the drivers side as I was “keeping up” with traffic and never said a word to me…needless to say that was a very short conversation lol.

The last time was going down Cajon pass at 4:30 am, in the dark with several thousand of my fellow road users (including trucks) and I would be going between 50 and 65 depending on the flow...speed limit down the pass is 45, but there was no way to pick me out of the crowd. The Jake was doing most of the work.

Had a real bad dream last night. I dreamt that I was at a terminal, and one of the bosses called me in and told me I had a bonus coming, but before I received it, I had to retake all of last years safety video tests...even though I had already passed them with flying colors. And after I complete them, he had me assigned to move to a newer truck...one of the mid-roof KW's . The only weird part was the truck number didn't match our numbering scheme...and I didn't recognize the terminal...I was assigned to truck 127635....and the terminal had 3 shower rooms, all of which had been left a total mess with paper towels all over the place, overflowing trash cans. I guess the bonus part was I was supposed to load up my Volvo on an RGN and take it to Arlington. (Does dreaming about work count as a nightmare?)

Well my preloaded trailer wasn’t ready when I got to the yard, it was still being loaded. A driver with a load going to the same place but no hours graciously offer to let me have his trailer and he would wait on mine. What a guy! So I threw a rag over the load and got on down the road. Heading to Ks, then grab a stretch trailer in ok and head home for the weekend. One more short trip on Monday before thanksgiving. IMG_6133.jpeg

this is the first time pulling one of our new step decks. Snackbar was right, these winches on the top deck suck. And there’s no strobes, rope hooks, or scale system. Boooooo! IMG_6134.jpeg

Definitely going cheap, the Wiley trailer I saw was much nicer…its good to see there are still some cool drivers out there who have common sense :)

I've heard they're not putting those winches there anymore. Not sure who thought that was a good idea but it must have been one of the bosses that either never drove a truck or drove so long ago they have forgotten what it's like to do this job.
