Right now the red headed step child level hasn't even started. And it's not what other drivers are doing that is the point, it's being lied to and disrespected by management. When I was there, the glass fleet had a little more freedom than the general freight side. The general freight drivers were told where and how much to fuel. They were forced to follow the company supplied routing(for legal loads). They weren't allowed to have PC activated. They didn't have Prepass. Things may have changed since I departed in late 2000, but with the freight rates right now, they could easily go right back to it, and if they're pulling the strings for how we are to run, it could be coming to SPD.

SSB, I can relate. When I first started at my company and it's coming up on 20 years being with them, it was privately owned. Everyone knew your name but in all reality, we are all just a number. We had many lunches provided by the company. Especially during driver appreciation week and every holiday. And not just the major ones. Even though I am a Teamster, we also got profit sharing which was not in our contract. When they went private, everything dried up. We still had lunch provided on special occasions as well as when someone retires. We now have gone back to being privately owned. Unfortunately, I'm not able to enjoy this. I hurt my knee off duty so I am home making $5600.00 a month on disability. Definitely not as good as working. I'll be 60 in March and I think that I'm just going to retire. Too much BS for me to deal with.88 Alpha, supersnackbar, JohnBoy and 1 other person Thank this.

Saw a tanker the other day with a new kind of aero-tail to make his round cylinder more aerodynamic
Looked like the winglets on the end of an airplane wingLonesome, dwells40, Warrior Pump and 2 others Thank this. -
And here is a clue to my adventures today
Thats right, I am no longer a Wolf Creek Pass virgin. Instead of dealing with I-70's snowy b.s. this trip, I took the scenic route over southern CO. In fact, all of the miles I ran across Colorado on this trip have been over state routes or US routes... including the infamous Wolf Creek Pass. So, does that make me a pass-a-fier...maybe a pass-afist, maybe a pass-torLast edited: Dec 3, 2023

That pass isn't as bad as people make it out to be. Yes, 7 or 8 miles of 7% grade with 2 180° switchbacks isn't anything to sneeze at, but it wasn't the white knuckle ride I've heard about.cdavis188, runningman0661, dwells40 and 1 other person Thank this.
