The system is so much easier to use than PeopleNet and has been much more stable, and man so much easier to arrive and depart a shipper now. Like you we will eventually go away from Transflo and use our tablets too… -
Well, I survived the great frozen def shortage. I stopped at the Walmart in Sioux Falls and bought the only 2 jugs they had available. And those just came in on the general merchandise trailer the night before. One guy even went back in the back room and looked around and said that unless there is more burried in some of the mixed pallets, that's all he could find. Got to Albert Lea and they actually had 2 pumps thawed out, so I topped off all my tanks and hit the road.
IA's roads were in pretty decent shape until one ramp where US-218 loops around, and it was a Zamboni polished skating rink. Then, on 380 between Cedar Rapids and I-80 it looked like a mix between a demolition derby and a junk yard from all the cars, suvs and big trucks in the ditch and in the median cable. The road wasn't bad today, but the carnage was a result of the storm earlier this week. And the 1st 30-40 miles of I-80 going east was intermittent compacted ice from blowing snow that was just getting run over. There were also a fair number of vehicles in the ditch and cable barrier there as well. You would go 5 or 10 miles with nothing then a mile or two of carnage then 5 or 10 miles of nothing then carnage. I made it all the way to LeRoy, IL where I am camping out tonight. So far the antique has stayed exactly where we secured it, but I still can't wait to deliver this, just to take the pressure of not damaging such a unique vehicle off my shoulders. And I see no coolant leaks...and I am out of the worst of the arctic cold.4mer trucker, Lonesome, dwells40 and 2 others Thank this. -
my old truck would ding at me on the peoplenet when I went over 74, our arbitrarily set company speed limit. So far this camera has not said anything about it but I don’t think there’s any hills big enough between the yard and my house to find out.
