I don’t think he ventures far from a truck stop. That alone would be enough to drive most folks crazy.

My next load picks up in Dallas. Besides, there isn't many places I would trust to park my truck in that depraved city. Where I delivered the customer had 10' electric fences with razor wire on the top. I don't sightsee out here, especially in major crime ridden cities. My goal when going to places I deliver is to get in, deliver, and get out in one piece.
When you're being paid like they're paying me now, sitting unnecessarily is just taking food out of my family's mouth. I grossed a whopping $4100 for all of January, and December wasn't much better. Plus we had a huge drain on our saving between the little we spent on the holidays and some insurance deductibles we had to pay. Right now, I can't sit when I have that much to make up for. Besides, I have to save enough so I can afford my wife's medication expenses and possibly a flight home when I finally give up trying to tolerate all this b.s. going on with this ever changing Wylie clone of a company and move on. I am really kicking myself for not hitting the exit back when they announced that we were being associated with Wylie instead of taking the "wait and see" route. I knew things would go downhill from there, I am not sure why I didn't trust my gut and pop the chute back then.Gearjammin' Penguin, dwells40 and drvrtech77 Thank this. -
I love how these elevator companies say 'you must tarp the load', but when you get there, some of the stuff is sitting out in the parking lot...including the cardboard boxed stuff.

Just saw a message that my dispatcher sent yesterday...my delivery has changed to Wednesday instead of Tuesday...2100 miles in 9 days... un-####ing-believeable.

And NM is up to their ususal winter driving fun. Freezing fog and freezing drizzle between Tucumcari and Santa Rosa. By what the CB said there were wrecks west of Tucumcari. I know when I stoppt at the Love's there, people who got off the east bound side of I-40 were doing about 2 mph over the overpass headed for the Love's.
Gearjammin' Penguin and Lonesome Thank this. -
I’m hanging out in DFW waiting for our wings to leave on Monday. They usually leave in Fridays but we got pushed due to scheduling issues. The hope is to have two sets of empty trailers in Canada to bring back next week. Twice the work getting two sets ready, then we get to run one set to Toledo and bobtail back for the second set. All in a days work I guess, maybe two days work by the time we get back.
last trip we took the “scenic route” through downtown Buffalo, NY. It’s quite the interesting route to get to the Peace bridge.
it could be worse. I’m not sure where these guys are but they have been sitting in Montana for a few days due to a culvert collapse.Winnyf1, Oxbow, IH Truck Guy and 4 others Thank this. -
