I hope the whole company doesn't go to that, that would royally suck

Did you watch the training video? The whole company is already supposed to be doing that. My boss was just reiterating it. I didn’t make that clear.

I watched the ones that they sent out right after they installed it, but I don't recall seeing it said that everything has to be done before departing...I guess once Transflo gets unplugged, I am gonna get written up a lot because I send in my b/l at the customer but I don't take the time to fill out the trip sheet until the end of the day. Another reason to dislike the direction we're heading. If they're that desperate to have the paperwork sent in the same day so they can get paid faster, that isn't a good sign.

I used to think that way, until the option of delaying scanning was removed. The process (for us at least) of taking a picture of each page of the BOL takes less than a minute (assuming less than 10 pages), but ends up having a tremendous impact on the enterprise level - roughly increased profits by a little more than 1%.

Yeah I think the same day is a more realistic goal, though I try and get it done as quickly as I can, and we’re lucky to only have to write our names, load number and truck info on the paperwork - no bubble sheets to worry about.

As I said before it’s just sometimes I want to get rolling and get out of the way, when I’m not in a hurry finishing up is much nicer that procrastinating.

Ouch we get 5 mph on our system, yeah I really think the water is starting to roll…but if all they are doing is giving you a gentle slap on the wrist, they I guess you’ll just have to build that bridge and keep trucking.

If it were just the B/L(s) I wouldn't hesitate, but we have to fill out a trip sheet with all the pu and delivery locations, tarps, receipts reimbursement, start/ending mileage etc. With Transflo, I app scanned it before going to bed the day of the delivery. Like @Winnyf1 mentioned, to sit in the customer's lot doing all that paperwork and snapping pictures might piss off some customers who need you to move so the next truck can get unloaded. And the company tablets they put the Samsara app on doesn't have the best camera in the world. Sometimes in bright daylight the image is too light to read and unlike the t'flow app, it doesn't have any adjustment for lighter or darker. I hope when the new Canadian company gets approval for the Daseke purchase, we switch to something other than Samsara. Peoplenet sucked, but this thing is worse... If they wanted in cab scanning, T'flow had that option and it didn't require my trucks ecm to communicate with the outside world to use it.

681 miles today and I still had 40 minutes left on my drive line, and I am getting 8.1 mpg...

Question for the group. I havent gone into Colorado in years. Looking up their chain law it says you are required to carry chanos west of denver. If I am reding this correctly i am good without chains denver east and north correct?
