There is always 1 jackrod that will try to be 1st even though other drivers are staged and waiting. I commend your courtesy and professionalism in your handling the situation of checking in. I am sure the other drivers did to. I don't have to deal with that anymore since I have been retired since 2011.

I think I might retire early and give the trucking industry as a whole the double #1. I got an email from the safety director this morning reminding me that I have yet to complete the online Samsara video modules. I told him that I have done them twice...and I quote "once before the POS was installed and once after"...if he thinks I am gonna do them again, he is very mistaken. I had to fight with the #### thing this morning because it refused to find my location when I was at the Petro in Weatherford TX...it almost got a 5 finger reboot to the screen.

I think everyone got that email, don’t take it personally.

My group is as busy as a one legged man in an ### kicking contest. On my way back from Canada I helped a one of our drivers untarp and roll up the two sets of tarps he had on his od load. Finished up the trip back to texas and now I’m heading to GA with an oversize trailer for the holiday weekend. I’ll mosey along and get they Sunday afternoon for a Tuesday unload/reload. Looking forward to my first reset in over a month.

Thursday I’ll move some trailers in texas and head to Canada on Friday. Should end up with 13500 to 14000 miles this month. I’m beat but looking forward to the paycheck, and two weeks off next month.

Well as I sit here on the couch recuperating I received our company newsletter and received some discomforting news, I guess some of our wonderful new hires have been damaging equipment and now Safety issue requiring 4 photos of the load to be uploaded after securing the load.

Like you @supersnackbar I need to start working towards bringing this chapter of my career to an end...

I took an unexpected retirement last year, when the VA approved me for disability. I just talked to my wife about buying a truck and get back in. She gave me the "Not on your life!" speech. I guess mama wants me home.

I give it to you skateboarders. I just couldn't see myself doing that. I'm a reefer kinda guy.

I quit driving years ago. Loved driving a truck, just hated being a truck driver.

The Sam-crappa has gone totally insane. 1st it lost location in Weatherford, TX. Just rebooted it after my post trip because it had the last 5 entries in Weatherford...now it pulls up 4 trip numbers...the current one and the 3 previous ones... Oh, it's this hot in Pecos, TX

And the mother ####ing ####### piece of #### truck won't idle over 60 seconds....I hope the office's a/c blows up and they can't get a new one until September...I hope whom ever is responsible for the idle cut back and the Samsara purchase has to spend their eternity in the hottest depths of hell listening to that nagging voice from the camera endlessly #####ing at them.

That's why I am so aggravated. I am, or was, turning pretty much the same miles as last year. It's the loss of the $.05/mile performance bonus and the drop in tarp pay that is screwing me the hardest. Now they turned down the truck so I am even less productive. I don't know Troy, but I wonder how he would react to an "I told you so" email about how unbelievably wrong his estimate on the drop in pay from the daily rate to cpm is/was.

And I got an email back from Safety. He said I got that email because the "How to scan" part of the module still shows "in progress"...so even the training videos for the Sam-crappa can't keep track of the right stuff. Un-be-####ing-lieveable
