I see they have the building and fuel pump canopies up at the new Love's here in Wichita... won't be long and we'll have an alternate location to park

Was just told by dispatch that they are hoping to find something for me tomorrow....another words, they didn't have me 'covered' like they noted in the computer. As of this weeks check, I am now $5200 behind where I was this time last year. So, I am doing more for less money. Right now a regional job, home every other weekend, around my area is paying what I am making staying out 8+ weeks. I can honestly say that I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone thinking about working here

It’s to bad you don’t want to do oversize. You could could move up QUICK because you have your passport. Most of the loads are even easier then the tarp legal loads you tend to do.

where’s it being built at? I miss Wichita. I lived there when I worked for M. Bruenger back in the day. Can’t believe it’s almost been 20yrs since I went to work for Butch.

Maybe when you’re learning the ropes. The load I’m on now pays an extra 42 cpm. Next weeks load is $500 per day plus $250 to cross the boarder.

different strokes for different folks I guess.

That's the problem. I've spent the last 7 months working just as hard, but taking home less. I really can't afford to take the extra hit for those months while I am working my way into bigger loads that might start paying better, which by then, would be about the time when the days are getting shorter and the daylight curfews start being an issue thus reducing productivity.

I think my days in open deck are numbered. If I were 10 years younger, then maybe I would be more able to adapt. But at my age, it was stupid of me to think that I would have the time to adjust and get my body use to the physical punishment this type of trucking requires. The driving part is a walk in the park, but the extra physical stuff open deck requires is getting to be too much...hell, I am 4 years from early retirement. Why I thought I could adapt to this job at my age is a mystery. I think I am just a natural born door slammer.
