Sent all the pictures to safety and my dispatcher. Waited around 3 hours and safety, dispatch and the customer said roll with it as is. When I saw how wet the boxes were, I wasn't gonna move an inch until Arlington said to. By the time I got the o.k. to roll, it was so much later than I wanted to roll I decided to finish a 34 at the dump terminal...who needs a shower, toilet paper or soap. I did voice my displeasure with how this sorry ### terminal is being run when I spoke to Arlington...doubt it does any good since he is acting like a Wylie man, and Wylie seems to be calling the shots more and more...but, ya gotta try.
motocross25 and Oxbow Thank this. -
I guess this "partnership" we have with Wylie only goes one way. I thought it was to help us keep moving when our freight was slow or help us with freight outside our normal lanes. At least a dozen outside carriers pulled skid steer loads out of here today, and I am stuck on a 3 day 500 mile run....and people wonder why I have such a bad attitude and hate Wylie. I guess now that Moore has vanished from existence, I guess we're the red headed step child now. I will be doing my very best to discourage any driver from making the switch to this place.

Have you brought this to the attention of someone who can do something about it?
-
By "this place"....do you mean Wylie.....or Daseke (or both)?

The problem is THEY DON'T CARE. They have a crack staff of recruiters keeping butts in the seats. Since becoming a Wylie doppelganger, they have adopted the same attitude about driver retention that Wylie has.

E.W. Smokey Point Wylie Distributing Inc, LLC.lual Thanks this.

You must know someone at that place that can do something or knows the right people to contact.
This might sound cheesy, but my company has become hyper focused when it comes to driver retention lately. -
And if they think I am gonna donate any more of my life fixing their junk, they can think again. I don't care if it costs the $250 for a shop to replace a marker light or mudflap. Snackbar isn't their free show pony anymore. If it needs fixed, point me to a shop or call a service truck.

Good plan, until you get screwed out of a good run over a small simple fix.
I sent you a private message. Look into it please.
