How’s everyone’s morning going? Mines great! I’m trying to deliver a 12’8” crate into an 11’11” wide door. With no way to unload it outside (they didn’t set up riggers because they were going to use the overhead crane).

Just unbox it outside, then rebuild the crate once inside.

    Don't be a lazy driver.:p

If only it was that simple. The machine itself is 12’ 4” at least.

I doubt he is. You would have heard SSB mention in this thread about a dispatcher wearing a casino vest .

@supersnackbar are there any terminal managers at SPD that have an unhealthy obsession with Hollandaise sauce and can deejay a company party at a moments notice?

The more adventures, or should I say misadventures, you have in the OD world makes me sooooo glad I stopped hauling that stuff. My time spent here is aggravating enough without adding extra aggravation because a customer doesn't know how big the stuff they ordered is or if it will fit thru their own door. Sounds like they're gonna need to visit Lowe's and buy a big tarp or two and get a wrecker company that has a rotator (or two) and just unload that sucker in the lot.

Not to my knowledge...although I don't really know them personally. A couple of them are planners as well, I just know how good or bad they do their job.

Well, it seems that @kylefitzy has more faith in my abilities than I do. Bumped both of the 1st 2 stops off yesterday AND made it out of the Chicagoland area alive. I managed to make it 614 miles after 2 stops (and 2 retarps). I got all the way to the 1st service plaza in OH. If all goes to plan, I will be dropping my PA stop this afternoon and heading for a truckstop. Tomorrow I will be bumping off the last 2 stops. My FM said that if I can manage to get done on Friday, they have a plan for me to meet with another one of his drivers who is on hometime and pick up a partial load he has...turns out, for whatever reason, he bypassed one if the stops on his load and they would like me to go get it and deliver it, to the same customer I just left in Chicagoland I delivered to yesterday. My Sam-crappa is insane though. When I got the load info via email, they have it in one order, but the Sam-crappa has it in a totally different order. That's the 2nd or 3rd multi-stop load this tour that it has done that, maybe that's what happened with the other partial load I am picking up.

    Lonesome Thanks this.

No extra aggravation on my end. I just stood there and shot the #### with the guy that was supposed to be programming the thing when they got it running. Eventually we took it about two blocks away and unloaded it at their other location. They had a bigger door and a big boy forklift. That company mainly cuts and installs armor on heavy equipment for the us military. They had cool #### all over the place.

Hey still runs my division and the Wichita yard. He used to be a frequent poster here.
call me old fashion but I do my best to have no freight on my trailer by the end of a trip, no mater what the computer says.

me, my tarps, and this empty step deck are going home for a couple of days before my next load out of texas on Tuesday. IMG_7199.jpeg
