Of course what they want are "unreasonable" that's how negotiations work. You start high, they lowball, etc etc. How's that boot taste btw? Didn't your company literally change your pay plan without any heads up or say on your part?

Now all you need is Boeing to settle and you’re back to status quo…well at least as soon as everything at home gets sorted.

High? That's what someone was when they said 77% increase. The 50% that was offered would have been the "start at" level then negotiate down. 77% would be like a car dealer asking for $100k for an economy car then negotiating it down to $50k, which is still overpriced for what it's worth.

And yes, they cut my pay and lied about it claiming I was gonna make more...but you don't see us walking around with signs saying we're on strike...those that were really pissed about it moved on, those of us that are mildly pissed about it are waiting until the economy get going in a positive direction before waving bye-bye.

########!!!! The UAW screwed the car companies big time, now some of them are facing another strike because they had to lay people off to stay in business. My Father in law and brother in law were URW members who went on strike occasionally...the rubber companies had to move most of their jobs overseas or merge with other companies to stay in business. Consequently both of them lost their jobs because of it.

"Market rate," my skinny white arse. They drive forklifts and hostlers and operate machinery. There's tons of people doing that same job for WAY less.

I'm softening my anti-union perspective of late, but longshoremen--and I know from experience--are a bunch of lazy, useless morons who couldn't find their buttocks with both hands and a search and rescue team. If they were all replaced by robots tomorrow, America would be far better off.

Starting hourly rate was $20 capping at $39 after 6 years. That’s borderline unlivable in the north east. The guys grossing well over 100 basically live at work.

Most of the time they aren’t doing that much. Most of the time they are hiding on a forklift looking at tic toc

Not wanting to jump the gun, but, it looks like I might be getting an additional 3 days off. It's noon on Friday and still no sign of a load.
