An old man's career goes flat, Snackbar moves to open deck

You make a very valid point. And to be honest I don’t know what the point is to continue to read his post. A study in humanity? That’s probably too deep. But it is interesting how some folks react to minor issues and blow them up. It makes you question if they have ever dealt with any real adversity in life. Or is this person just not happy unless they are having a pity party. Does this person act this way irl or is this just the place they come to vent gripes. And in real life they role with the punches. Some of these complaints are just part of truck driving, and a seasoned driver should know this.

I generally hold my tongue in regards to the post, but this one just irked me. The fact that he was saying Toledo has always been good to them and he agreed to help them out. That is commendable. But to then take his ball and go home because he was given a bad address. Essentially saying my word and loyalty go out the window at the first sign of inconvenience. And a relatively small inconvenience at that. Florence SC isn’t exactly Boston or Chicago. So what the address is bad. Go around the block.

but you are correct. What’s the point! And I don’t know. Maybe there isn’t one.

 

Ok this is going to be a bit fanboy, you have been warned.

Snackbar vents, wines and complains yes, but absolutely in no way is he forcing anyone to read the thread, if he annoys you ignore and move on.

Has it ever occurred to anyone that from time to time he punks us? I mean his threads have been fairly popular and one needs to keep the content entertaining to accomplish this - and as noted above many continue to come back and read more.

Imagine if he created a YouTube channel or was on Patreon, he would be able to monetize his channel and increase his income, he’d probably do pretty well. Lol for now he gets to sit back and just enjoy all of the rants from others and take a quick break from creating content.

Stay or go one thing’s for sure, many of us will read about whatever comes next for Snackbar because he entertains us, and that if nothing else is worth something

but he doesn’t. He puts all those people on ignore. So the argument that he’s just trying to get a reaction doesn’t hold water.

I always took his threads as his way of venting or even “blogging” at the end of the day. I don’t want to speak for him, hell maybe that’s not what it’s about at all. Either way tho, we all need to get it out sometimes. As a fellow trucker I can relate to a lot of the frustration, and as someone who admittedly doesn’t have much better to do than to read about his trials and tribulations; I’m here for it.

 

This is the way I look at it. Personally, I'm not a blogger, or get it, but I like seeing others experiences on the road. Idk much about flatbed so haven't chimed in much lol

 

Some people would complain if you hung them with a brand new rope.

 

So it's OK for you to complain about SSB....but you get upset when he does ???? ...at least his are work related...and sometimes helpful and interesting

 

Ok haters, try this one on for size...if it doesn't make you complain then I might duplicate it for a month or so and see how ####ing boring my thread gets
