Usually, if my phone doesn't have service, the truck doesn't have service (and I have T-Mobile on my phone). I wonder what cell network the truck's system uses.

I have Verizon. No cell phone coverage but I believe the tablet showed bars.

When they 1st installed mine, I had verizon cell service on the tablet itself, but that disappeared in a couple weeks. I thought about plugging my spare sim into it to see if it helps with it's location issues

@kylefitzy, have you ever had to pull a placard load on a conestoga? If you have, did you just stick the placard on the conestoga? Rancho mentioned something about the load I am picking up going to Mass might be hazmat, not sure if it's a RQ amount or what.

Yeah that’s what I’ve seen other guys do. We had a sdq set up with placard holders on all 4 sides for one specific load that went to the northeast. But I don’t know what it was and I thought it came out of the PNW. We have about 100 plywood squares nailed to 2x4”s in Arlington, maybe if you go by Rancho there are some there? They slide down in the rail you could put them in upside down and secure them.

I had thought about making something like that, but wasn't sure if they'd withstand the 68 mph wind all the way to Mass. I'm at Rancho now, maybe I'll go look around and see if they have any on the shelves.

    Lonesome and Oxbow Thank this.

That’s a good point. I’m pretty sure if you clean the side of the conastoga you can tape them to it. I don’t know the legality of covering up the boarder of the placard. I have heard that can be an issue. Idk I don’t have my hazmat.

As long as you keep the border clear then you could tape it up. Example being if you keep a class 3 flammable placard white border visible, it’s legal to cover up the red outside of it.

That's what I used to use on a dry van placard holder to keep the placard from blowing out. Not sure how well it would stick to conestoga tarp material
