Just curious are you restarting then logging out and back in every morning? That’s the latest I hear we are supposed to do. I don’t do that and have almost no issues, but I’m using my phone.

I tried logging out and in, but it decided to screw up my restart by adding a minute of drive time in the middle of it. I reboot in the morning after I start the truck and get the gateway connected to the tablet. If I don't reboot 1st thing, then it shows 000 for travel distance and doesn't update my location at all when I stop. It shows all the duty status changes on the graph correctly, but in the written part where it shows all the duty status changes, the location stays the same as where I started my day. I have had 8 hours of drive time, but according to it's location, I have never left the original starting location.

...Or he slipped climbing into the truck while he had his tire thumper in his hand. :biggrin_25523:
Did that wind up costing you a load?

I use samsara for my logs but I use it on my phone. Mind you I’m local, so I logout everyday but I’ve never had the issues that yours seem to have.

I have a strict policy, no business related tracking apps on my personal phone. This includes brokers AND my employer. It's my phone, and I have too much personal info on it to trust their app from being hacked. As a company driver, it's the company's responsibility to provide a reliable ELD, not mine, and I won't use my personal electronics in place of their malfunctioning unit that they won't replace with something even slightly better.

This is what it showed on my posttrip msg...(Accurate to where I was actually sitting)

This is what my log entry showed immediately after I sent the posttrip msg (inaccurate location)

This is after my 4th reboot of the day (now an accurate location)

I get that 100%. I only do it because it’s easier for me.

We use an Encompass tablet through JJ Keller. Recently had an issue and wanted me to log through my phone. Refused and told them I’d use a paper log till they figured it out. We are a private fleet and seldom to broker loads but when we do I don’t give the broker access to my phone either.

It would solve almost all of his eld related issues. But I guess we all have our personal rules.
