usually the bossman makes contact with me if he has loads to move and needs me to drop my load at the yard. He usually, as Travis used to say, has his poop in a group (has his #### together).

Enjoy the weather up in the Great White North, Aye. They say there is a series of storms coming thru that is supposed to dump a bunch of the 4-letter white stuff up there.

I thought about joining u guys at spd but seems u run into the same problems I was trying to get away from... sounds like another mega company nobody knows what's going on at anytime , and communication always breaks down... there's nothing more irritating in this industry than that #### right there..

not sure where u live but if u live out west , I could get you hooked up with the company I'm with... I've been here about a year now and only had 2 loads with major problems like that... easiest flatbedding I ever done. And some of the best office workers I've ever worked with.. Haven't had 1 problem with ANYONE

get home every other weekend . Sometimes every weekend . And 3k+ miles a week If u want it. 75mph trucks. No ports, no military crap, easy stick and brick loads.. all west coast runs . West of i-15

Understood. “All his #### in one sock” as one of my escorts once said.

Hell we may hit a bunch of snow, it’s going north east of Edmonton. I don’t remember any big mountain passes last time we went up that way. Me and the other driver might be running a few rounds of these.

when I know im heading home I start looking at the weather around the house, I wish I didn’t. It’s going to be a high of 20 at home on the second and only a high of 30 in Tulsa. This is a bunch of ########. We should have loaded them this week and went home. It’s in the 60’s right now.

That's entirely too #### cold for this time of year, that's late January weather.
I'm in El Paso tonight, it's supposed to be in the 30's here tonight... that's too cold being this close to Mexico.

I am not micromanaged whatsoever. Example- I can take the Skyway bridge or I-94 if I'm heading into or out of downtown Chicago, my choice.

In general, hourly truck drivers aren’t paid to think, they just do exactly as they are instructed to do, like a machine basically.

I personally am far more valuable than my time is. My value cannot be measured with a clock. My value is measured with results.

I have been given a glimmer of hope for the next load. Got a call from Rancho, picking up in El Monte, CA on Monday going to SC. I will call them once I am loaded to see if they're gonna be in on Friday or Saturday. Once I arrive in SC I will only need to run another 7600 miles to equal the number of miles I ran last year. As far as gross pay, if I cash out my remaining sick time I will be just shy of what I grossed last year. Which means without that sick pay they now pay, I would be around $2500 under what I grossed last year on the old daily rate pay package, even with me staying out 3 months at a time. Would it be considered insubordination if I called our VP and said "remember when I said I wouldn't make as much on the new pay package like you claim, I told you so".

As far as the SC load, by what Rancho was saying about loads, it sounds like I should be very grateful for the load I got. It sounded like getting and keeping loads on the books was a bit of a frustrating challenge. There are times I am glad I only have to deal with 1 frustrating load at a time, I don't think I would do well having to deal with all the frustration that the planners have to deal with on a daily basis, especially in this challenging freight environment we're in right now.
