I’m guessing the weight more than the height. This load was 16’ tall vs 15’5” but only 82k. The zigzag is permit at 114k. IMG_7409.jpeg

I’m getting dizzy just looking at that zig zag permit.

Between the posts about all the trailer troubles, and then the interesting choice of routes they make you follow, you're making me have second thoughts about going back to pulling OD :biggrin_25513:

Paid by the mile so it all works out. Some of these even pay by the day.

these trailers are getting old. We only have a few stretch flats that are not 10 years old. Most of our dst’s are slightly newer. Luckily for you most of your od freight would be on regular flats and steps.

now the flip axle I’m taking to Canada is over 20 years old but it’s a good solid piece.

We have rebuilt many of our older trailers to help extend their service time, are you guys doing anything similar?

Some of the tankers we run were made in 1990. Still pass inspections.

Nope. That’s the problem with working at a flatbed company with a very tiny specelized division. We run flats and steps for ten or so years, doing the bare minimum to keep them legal, then send them off to auction.

almost all of our double drops need new decks. Luckily most of our freight could be run with no deck boards at all. The rest is a 50/50 on punching through the floor or not.
