It all depends on how a company spec's the interior. Mine is cramped in the cab because they put a drawer and microwave cabinet right behind the driver's seat. I am only 5'9 and in order to lean back any, you have to slide the seat forward enough your knees are bent at almost a 90° angle. If that drawer cabinet wasn't there and you could slide the seat back some and still lean back, it wouldn't be bad. At least this Volvo doesn't have the auto-deflate seat airbag like our KW's do.

    Knucklehead Thanks this.

Delivery made, paperwork scanned and parked for the rest of the weekend down the road at the dinky N. Charleston Pilot. With this 2475 mile delivery I hit 12k for the month, wouldn't have been a very good paycheck without it.

Lol well with as many miles as you put in if you don’t find another gig soon you’ll be in a 680…

I'm 6'3, and I had tons of legroom. The only thing I didn't like about it was the table. I had to sleep on the top bunk.

As fast as I am getting old (physically) I will probably move back to a door slamming job before it's time to trade.

I occasionally whack my knee on that plastic around the bottom of the steering column when I try to get out of the seat, of course I never move the steering wheel once I get it where it's comfortable. I keep the table folded down and a mattress on it...my top bunk is my storage area, I couldn't imagine having to sleep on the top bunk.

That’s pretty good miles for a conastoga jockey…

if it’s any consolation, my auto deflate seat have never worked on this kenworth. I actually like the feature on trucks that I ride with air in the seat, like this one. If I don’t have air in the seat I can see over the dash! I push the button to drop the air when I get out of the truck and inflate the seat when I get back in. I like that it goes back to the same position, even if I have a big lunch.

My last truck I never ran with air in the seat and I could see just fine.

    D.Tibbitt and Knucklehead Thank this.

and those miles included all the time I wasted futzing around with that load out of the port of Galveston.

I would need a booster seat without air... that's because, like a friend from my Moore days nicknamed me, I am a little chubby troll. Since I take off my boots before I head to the sleeper, I have to sit in the driver's seat to put them back on to go outside and I would forget the stupid seat was deflated, so I would go to sit where I thought the seat should be and then fall the extra little distance. And the SPD KW I had didn't hold air overnight, so I was flat on the floor putting on my boots. I hate those auto-deflate seats.

They must, at least on occasion, every so often they announce a bunch of ELD models being removed from the government's approved list
