An old man's career goes flat, Snackbar moves to open deck

Spent all day yesterday waiting for my phone to ring with my next load assignment, which it never did. Hopefully I can get rolling tomorrow, I am tired of seeing this Peelot parking lot. The locals think it's a cut-thru street to avoid the red light at the corner, including Amazon delivery vans. In the morning there is a parade of 4-wheelers going one way, in the afternoon the parade goes the other way. Yesterday morning there was a cop just sitting in the lot not doing a dang thing, so I guess it's legal to do that in SC.

 

Uh oh....they might be demoting you back to being a company driver after New Years.

Actually I would worry about the ones that were built back last year when Spirit was on strike... they're the ones that built the main fuselage...and installed the door plugs that blow away.

 

Well, at least with no load, I can put in for layover for every 24 hrs I wait. Having a load and waiting to be loaded, you have to hope the shipper pays detention when you put in for it. Yesterday, since they didn't find anything, I decided my backache needed a sick day to rest.
