TA as whole is rip off anymore …I personally dont see them being around in 5 yrs.. they took out a $200 million loan in February and leveraged their properties in full for it…

That $200 million was for “refurbishing” locations but they sat on the money for seven months, until people were wondering where all the money went to and then, when they started getting questions, they did a big press tour, painted some walls and bought some leather recliners at 20-30 locations but nothing close to justifying $200mm. I still think they’re using it as a slush fund to cover operations.

The financials for TA are incredibly opaque and people who analyze them or a living don’t like the stock for that very reason.

The current Price/Earnings ratio of TA stock is 7.16. The current Standard & Poors Price to earnings is 18.54, meaning that if the market liked TA stock only as much as the average stock it would be priced 2.5 times higher. Bottom line: The investing public knows how much TA sucks too.

What a difference a day makes. Yesterday I was in western MO, KS and CO(up to Denver). I ran 649 miles in 9:53. Today, thru the rest of CO and UT on 70 I ran 587 miles in 9:45. 1st mildly heavy load thru the rockies and it was a looooong day. This PACCAR engine just doesn't have the nuggets to pull the hills, even with a 13 speed(which I had to make good use of all the top gears most of the day). Too bad they didn't stick a Cummins in these KW's, would make a huge difference.

Be careful what you wish for. My company’s Cummins powered trucks have all sorts of DEF issues. Lots of wiring gremlins.

Ours have big issues during the winter with the fuel pumps freezing/gelling.

I must have one of the good ones. 530k on my X15 and only three sensors and a couple of exhaust leaks.

Yeah mine did as well, anti gel was a must in the winter, I do miss the power and torque though.

Could be worse, at least you don’t run an AMT :).
