Money yes, but I make more moving freight than I do throwing tarps. And since they dropped the daily rate, we only get $75 to tarp...and $75 isn't worth the time it takes to tarp the odd shapped loads that come out of Park City. Not that I am knocking Park City, they have always been pleasant to deal with, they just have some really odd shaped loads, almost as tough to tarp quickly as elevator loads. Right now, I am at the Love's in town because after strapping and tarping my back's muscle spasms returned so I had to take 1000 mg of Ibuprofen and lay on a heating pad. I wouldn't need to do that had I not had to swap trailers, I would have been 100's of miles away and possibly been able to get to Rancho a day earlier and see if I could drop this and get moving on something else before the end of the weekend.

I tried working with the Wichita staff when we were at the old yard, and it was the management that had a huge arrogant chip on their shoulder, starting with the leader and his major arrogant attitude. Which is why I despise that whole place and wouldn't piss on any of them (except the new person that came in after Daniel passed, I haven't met her yet) if they were running across the parking lot with their head on fire. Hell, I might even fan the flames as they ran by. They started the attitude, I just refuse to tolerate it...and after talking to a certain drivers there, it sounds like I am not the only person with that opinion of them. I got along fine with Brigit and Rick, they never gave me any bad attitude, but maybe that's why they're gone...maybe they refused to look down on us peeon drivers that wouldn't kiss management bootie.

Unfortunately we're owned by a parent company who is primarily a box trailer company. Buying Daseke was their biggest venture into non-box trailer freight.

At first glance it looked like that truck had a bad hair day. Had to zoom in and see that it is a tree in the background :D:D

This is news? It's Minnesota. It's winter. If you expect anything above 0* Kelvin you really haven't been paying attention to these things called weather patterns.
