Me personally that probably where I would pivot from flatbed , both seem like lateral moves rather then going backward to being a door dummy . That just my opinion though, I could never slam doors as a company driver , to boring... it's to bad you live on out east, my company would have u in a rig in a week and it's some of the easiest work I've ever done.

At my age, I'm just looking to finish out my career doing what I know. Not really wanting to try to learn something new. After the physical beating I have taken the last 18 months, I am looking forward to being a door slamming tourists. It has gotten to the point that I don't wake up thinking "will my back hurt today", I wake up thinking "how much will my back hurt today".

Just talked to a COTC driver here at TMX. He said they have a bunch of the new generic SFI logo'd trucks sitting at the yard. He said that going forward, all SFI trucks will be spec'd the same. All castrated, all speed limited to 65, and that all the general freight drivers loads will come from the same database, no more individual company customers. Specialized like what @kylefitzy hauls will still be company exclusive.

Who knows, give it time and that might even change. Sounds like the next few years are going to be quite the shake up. I’ll leave it at that.

That doesn't work, my friend. I still have a handful of people on ignore from my pre-staff days and when someone quotes them, I only see the non-ignored reply.

I had a nice talk with a Lonestar driver at the port this morning and she too is getting fed up with TFI acquisition. She just came off of sitting for 3 days herself and says she’s been receiving the guaranteed salary more often than she would like. Hopefully they will find you something soon.

Managed to make it to Carlisle PA before the storm hit. Hit a little freezing drizzle between Somerset and Breezewood. Got fueled up and parked and the storm started dropping a bunch of sleet, so it looks like it is gonna be a crappy night
