I definitely started doing open deck to late in life. 10 yrs ago it might have given me enough time to allow my body to adapt, but mid-50's is just too old to start schlepping tarps.
An old man's career goes flat, Snackbar moves to open deck

@D.Tibbitt the biggest issue for me is the voice recording, I really dont care about it staring at me all day but why do my conversations with family and friends need to be recorded? I’m hoping one day my karaoke will get in the right hands of someone in Nashville, and life will look different moving ahead
MACK E-6, Oxbow, motocross25 and 5 others Thank this. -

Lol, I’m 60 and still slinging chains…and we have plenty of drivers who are older than me and are even open to hauling 8 foot drops. Do wish you all the best in the next chapter
@kylefitzy are you going to keep the thread going?
ElmerFudpucker, Oxbow, D.Tibbitt and 2 others Thank this. -
Yeah ours are activated by you doing something like not wearing your seatbelt or holding your phone, really not strictly monitored and they don’t outsource watching us thank heavens.Oxbow, D.Tibbitt, Knucklehead and 1 other person Thank this.

I think the "when you started" is more important than how old they are now. There is a local guy in Wichita looks like he might be mid-late 60's. And we have a local guy in Rancho that does the elevators (and anything else that needs done) and he is easily around retirement age, and he can out work my chubby arse.Last edited: Feb 22, 2025
