That’s BS. I see a large driver exodus in the near future

How dare you. That moss green color was so good looking. Looked awesome when the truck was clean and taken care of. Gave them character. Now it’s just another huge company making everything boring

I bet they have been dinged quite a bit for hos violations if they are impementing that policy.

That one driver that got them that huge violation that caused the boss to pull everyone's use of PC was something like 166 CSA points (according to the person I spoke to when I left). It put them into "intervention" status instantly and will take years to get back out of it.

Yep they were way too lax for years and now the pendulum has swung way back the other way. Guys abused the adverse conditions exemption, I know a former driver that took that exemption multiple times almost every week. We all hate micromanaging but that exemption should have triggered a phone call the next day to explain your use of the exemption. In ten years I think I have used it twice, due to accidents closing the highway.

Drew used to call me on my legitimate use of PC. How that other driver got away with using it the way he was without getting Drew's attention is a mystery.

Maybe that's what they're counting on.

Since the beginning of e-log use, I have never had to use it.

Just curious, in the event that an SPD driver gets stuck at a customer so long that they run out of hours (and the customer won't allow them to stay for a break), how does Troy expect the driver to leave and find a safe location to break? Will they temporarily allow the use of PC in certain situations so he/she doesn't run in violation and get an 8 day unpaid logbook vacation?

    Why 8 days? Shouldn’t a 34 suffice for that?

They told us the 8 days is what is required for complete removal of the violations. SPD has been a step away from intervention for years.
