Nothing exciting on my end lately. Lots of short moves repositioning equipment for some upcoming moves last week. I went through downtown Dallas 5 times before lunch one day. Not very much fun.

Now me and two others are trashing around with some containers. I’ll drop tomorrow then head up to NJ to pick up another one. 136C8CFC-D069-4F4C-8DF9-D8B4926C62A5.jpeg

Hey I just noticed we are parked in descending order 4021, 4020, and 4019. All sister trucks as we call them.

Every time I'm at the Wichita yard I see those oversize Boeing containers parked. Do those come by truck from a port, or we just move them to and from the rail yard and the trains do the long haul?

    Lonesome Thanks this.

October was pretty busy for me. Even with 7 days at home, my Garmin Nag-a-gator said I ran just under 10k miles, and all but a load or two were multi-stop tarp/retarp loads. So my new dispatcher seems to be working out fairly well, and...we get along pretty well also.

We haul them from coast to coast on trucks. The ones in Wichita are typically empty. We store them for Boeing until they secure a slot on the ship back to Italy for them.

Unloaded all 3 KS stops this morning. McConnell AFB wasn't quick, but only because the personell in charge of the facility where the equipment was going didn't report for duty until 0730 and I showed up at the check in gate just after 0600, so it took a while to get me thru inspection. Once I cleared inspection, it was quick and easy. The other two went fast, but left me with too little time to make it to a truck stop on the way to St. Louis, so I came back to the yard. I will make the trip to St. Louis and unload tomorrow.

Well @supersnackbar I don’t get to tarp weird stuff like you, but I do get to spend time learning how to operate lots of fun toys and try to not drive them off the side of my deck :).

I love those kind of loads. I wish I'd see more of them. I am pulling a stepdeck myself this trip, so there is no telling what might be available out of the St. Louis area.

Speed_Drums, Lonesome and Winnyf1 Thank this.
