Very possible, tfi seems to like playing musical equipment. They are a little to much truck for a 35 ton trailer, but there’s certain states where a lift axle would be beneficial. Specifically the 40k tandem states. The trucks would pair nicely with a 45 ton with a flip box.

Not really. The majority of states want no more than a 20% variance in weight across a tri. That setup can’t achieve that. It’s basically a pnw truck.

The only thing is, you have to go past the customer and come in from the side road if you're hauling a low trailer. The driveway just before the place will high center a low step or RGN. That big of a unit will most likely load from lot you first pull in off the side road. The driveway that goes around to the other side of the building is too narrow to pull that length of a building thru. You can park behind the building overnight, but there isn't any restroom when they aren't open. The guy who runs the place is a nice enough guy.

I passed an SPD today going south on I77 in West Virginia. It was pulling a low boy type of trailer.

We that hot load that was ready to go last Thursday was finally ready at 2pm, after being scheduled for 9am. Turned my one day run into a two day deal. First 80 miles of the route kind of sucked but the rest was all big road. The customer brought “big Moe” and “lil Moe” over to unload me. That’s the forklifts, not the operators. Dropped that, swapped trailers at the Bulldog/EW Wylie/TA port services/ what ever we are calling this place now, and reloaded empty pallets for Cali. Unfortunately/fortunately I’m only taking them as far as Fort Worth. More airplane wings need to be hauled this weekend. IMG_8439.jpeg
