Crap. I almost stopped there for the night. I tried to reach you on the CB. Have a safe trip.

BTW, there is construction on 94 near the border. I just went through there Monday.

    Oxbow and Knucklehead Thank this.

Yeah I remember my escort saying something about a guy wanting my autograph on the cb! I usually don’t run my cb with escorts, we all work on the VHF radios.

Took two hours to get over the bridge this morning and I get the pleasure of fighting to get back over tonight. I usually wait into the next day to cross back into the states, but we are to busy for that.

As a group we have several 18’ wide dump beds to move and already have two sets of wings loaded and ready to go in texas.

that probably explains why sometimes i try to tell something to an oversize going the other way and I'm met with dead silence.

They could be on other radios or usually we work on different channels when we have to use the cb. Some guys will go back to 19 on two lane roads to warn other trucks.

“very high frequency” also known as HAM radios.

Knucklehead, Lonesome and D.Tibbitt Thank this.

Yeah it sounds like it. Busy is good, if not a little hectic at times.

This is less that ideal. IMG_8472.jpeg
    #### piece of road debris took out the sidewall of one of my nearly brand new drive tires. With The way the sun was hitting the 402 yesterday, I didn’t see it until it was to late. Thankfully it didn’t take out my steer tire. IMG_8474.jpeg
The loves in Michigan thankful had a matching tire.

Ouch. If it had to happen, at least it was while you were empty. The Loves in St Clair and Capac both have good shops.

Yes they do. The big guy in St Clare that runs the shop takes good care of me and the other wing guys. He’s put many a set of brake shoes on our trailers. It’s so much easier when a shop knows how to set everything up on our account, I didn’t even have to call our after hours breakdown service. He took care of it.

Well I thought I was heading back to Canada with another set of wings but plans change. Tomorrow morning I’m dead heading 1050 miles to Wyoming to load 75’ long oilfield skids going to southern NM. There’s two of us loading so it should be a good time.

Well the skids grew to 78’ and 13’6” wide. Unfortunately the other driver made it to Tulsa to borrow a trailer and had some light problems. No right turn signal on the trailer. Two shops later and he’s off to the dealer with a fried wiring harness. Third time to the dealer with only 18k miles on the truck. Ridiculous.
