But I talked to current employees like @kylefitzy, not disgruntled former employees posting on some internet site. Pretty much every driver I ran into while in orientation had positive things to say about the company...imagine that, drivers at a terminal not complaining about the company.

Trucking is so much about your attitude towards the job, rather than the job itself. It's easy to write a bad review for a company. Most guys that love it are to busy working to go and write a good review

I've followed spd for awhile. Used to watch a guy on you tube that works there. Seen lotsa posts from @kylefitzy i believe. Also used to talk to one of their recruiters that passed away and chatted with someone on here that has something to do with kansas city which sounded like someone in operations of sorts. I have never heard anything bad at all about SPD. Everthing I've been told has been positive.

He moved to a work from home position with them, I believe. He hasn’t posted anything in a few months.

Sometimes it isn’t the job so much as the politics.

They actually have us speak to him in orientation. He works from home in FL. He is doing work in the social media area for them.

Good luck on the new company. If wasn't so Old I would go back to open deck especially pulling an rgn. But pulling a dry box has made me lazy and out of shape. At 61 years old. Probably still better than most my age. I miss a 13 speed to. GOOD LUCK.
