Have you asked him where he's from? I know americans are quite judgemental people. If they hear someone having accent they assume person is Russian. Maybe he's Croatian or Moldovian, etc. Person might've never been to Russia but you're quick to assume he's Russian.

 

Americans are not judgmental any more than your statement seems so. Think about it. I’m not the same as my next door neighbor. Right?
