I had a wall mounted one growing up for years. I'd like to think I got pretty good at being quick at it. Never thought of it as a trouble at all.
But I guess it's like being really skilled at a telegraph.

If you have to deal with an automated system, just use your Pocket Tone Dialer. I have one. It works great, but it runs the batteries down really fast, so it's better to take them out until you're actually going to use it.
I can't believe I have to explain this stuff, but probably many of you have forgotten how controversial Caller ID was when it came out, so I probably shouldn't be that surprised that you don't remember the Pocket Tone Dialer. My dad was an early adopter of high tech equipment, which is why I know so much about it. -
Lol, and here I thought a Pocket Dialer was a euphemism.
