Another reason to hate the 'truck stop' in Pasco, Washington.

The clusterfork of parking, fueling, and washouts including a Flying J that looks like it must be run by either the Beverly Hillbillies, or Sanford and Son gave me another reason to wish that somebody would just buy out the hellhole and put a real truck stop there.

I scaled my load, pulled around the ancient shack masquerading as a convenience store, and drove across the street into the godawful dirt lot in order to make my tandem adjustment, then come back for another pass at the scale.

That was the plan, anyhow. The really big pothole right at the entrance of the dirt lot was there, as usual.

This time, however, someone had apparently been making it deeper with a backhoe or something.

    This is what happened.

Amazingly enough, as far as I can tell, there was no damage.

The right front outside drive was impacted on the bottom of the trailer.

The left landing gear leg was impacted on frozen ground.

There was 42k in the box.

Did I mention how much I hate that sad excuse for a trucking hub?

The Flying J is an easy target because it is very likely the most terrible Flying J in existence, but I dont know who owns that dirt lot. I would guess it is whoever leases the land to the BK lounge, and Subway.

Whoever does own that dirt lot has no concept of what 'maintenance' is.

I know it's a strange concept, but let's try something. How about not trespassing?
Just because a truck fits does not mean it's your god given right to be there.....

There was no trespassing. It is a gravel parking lot, parking for the BK lounge and Subway.
