Check your mirrors. If there is ice on them then there is prolly ice on the road under you. Not a good feeling when your running 75 on dry pavement then all of a sudden BLACK ICE. Dont hit the brakes and don't flip the jake or power divider just let er slow down and find a safe spot to pull off. If your caught on a snowy road that's covered and u don't know where the lane is slow down and hit the rumble strips at least you will know your still on the road.

Thank you - Page 3 before we pulled that bit of advice out. The amount of times I see trucks nose to tail and side by side on snow and ice . . . next to speed, this is the biggest problem in my opinion. SPREAD OUT! Your following distance should be MASSIVE ! I notice it's looking to get a bit sticky across NM this weekend. I'll try to stay out of the headlines.KW Cajun Thanks this.

Just relax and pay attention to your surroundings. As someone previously posted, an over cautious, scared to death driver may well be more dangerous than the schmuck going 75 mph. I personally enjoy driving in snow. Makes me feel like a kid again lol

Let off your brakes and coast until you straighten out and hope to God that you have the distance to do that, if your past the point of no return well then good luck you will need it, you'll Jack Knife.......camaro68 Thanks this.
