    Book or passport will work
you only need the card. Its cheaper & faster to get.
If you can get the fast chip added to your license that will help ya out on the Lewis.

Yeah Paul might be just gotta wait for them to get through the cc.

Kinda my last resort with this company had enough of the whole not getting paid thing. Already got a local unpaid preplan that picks up @ 0900....yay.

Miles are practical -- city center to city center. They generally are very close to actual shortest route mileage, but you can get shorted sometimes (especially on local pickups like Cargo seems to get every few days).

In my 49 weeks I've been dispatched 121,000 and have put 124,500 on the odometer -- a 2.8% difference. I'd estimate 1% is me taking a longer route than necessary, 1% is odometer inaccuracies from worn tires, & 0.8% is probably the actual amount shorted by practical mileage pay.

    Thanks Double,
This looks like it will be my first company after retiring here in a few months from the military. already have my CDL with Tanker getting Passport ID card and Background for Hazmat done now. Just thought to ask about practical miles 4,500 miles is a lot at say 37cpm. which is what i was told i could be making at end of first year

It's only 3500 difference. Must be that army math! Just kidding, retired fly boy here. It's not that much when seen as a percentage. It's hard to find a company paying hub miles but they are out there.

    Noobie
We also now get the paid dispatch routes sent to us.

    Used to be I'd ask

    Every!

    Single!

    Load!

    ...no joke.

Why does the FM see it and we did not...the person who actually did the work.

They never had a good comeback for that.

Sometimes you get dispatched on the 407etr and other roads that you aren't allowed on.

Phone call has to be made :

    In advance!!!!

So they can "bill the customer"

....mandatory detour....stopped for hours traffic on your route?

    Call

    In advance!!!!

Most of the time they will pay you.
(Like the rock slide in wv awhile back)

You gotta watch these ppl like hawks. Some of the dispatchers seem to take joy in ripping you off.

Calls to a FM or higher management only.

    Words of wisdom.

(If you call after with all info. You will not get paid.

    Have your new route
    Miles more
And new eta ready to go when you call)

I believe Jacksonville, but I'm not 100% certain. Check with recruiter if no one else can confirm or correct me.

It is through cigna & express scripts and it is $12/week for yourself.
