Got a Buddy looking to go back otr. His wife wants to get her CDL. Anywhere that would allow him to work and train his wife? I'm sure a 1 year contract is fine with them. Any idea or leads would be great.

Yeah, I think he was here last week. I'm pretty sure the insurance of no carrier would permit training a driver w/o a CDL "on the road".

US Express might if she's completed a CDL school.

Central Refrigerated has been known to do that.

    CRST lets husband train wife.

    Southern Refrigerated Transport

A driver posted a couple weeks ago he finished his contract with CRST then changed companies. Now he's returning to CRST to train his wife. Unlike many that post, he said his experience with CRST wasn't bad at all.

Swift will do it but she'll have to go through their academy first. If I'm not mistaken I believe she will owe nothing for the academy if they team for at least 13 months. It would be a full reimbursement at 13 months unlike the usual half reimbursement at 13 then full reimbursement at 26 months.

So to summarize they won't charge a dime for the academy if they team for 13 months, I would double check that yourself though. I'm just going off of a message that came across my Qualcomm last month.

Prime will as well. Hubby will have to be on for 90 days on-time, no accidents, no tickets to get into the trainer program. Wifey will need to either come with a CDL from a third-party school or go through the CDL instructional program there.

Think I saw an ad recently that western express has a program similar, but not sure of the details

Watkins and Shepard, but the miles and pay are low.

Thought I saw Covenant aggressively marketing this also.
