Hi wanted to know if they’re any OO in my area, Phildelphia PA. I’m looking into becoming an OO and buy a truck. I here the short haul game is decent in this area. And what is your experience running out of this area? Thanks and Happy Holidays!

Van. Business model I would like the most home time possible, I know that’s not a specific answer yet. Thinking about short haul.

    There you go.

    Most time off, maximum revenue.

Move to ohio. Imo northern is better than southern. Dry box in the north east, lots of people want the same thing you want. Nyc has been depopulated.

I have met tanker drivers that do well in the north east. I have heard rumors that propane pays well for a few months. That's all dependent on who you lease on to.

You're in a good area to be home daily. Really anywhere in the North East for that matter

I don’t necessarily need to be home daily but would be very nice.

You could look into leasing on with A. Duie Pyle, Inc they have several warehouse locations in the region and do have O/O leased on. I've moved out of the area last summer, not up on what's going on around there now. I'm leased to Mercer and over the years developed enough relationships that I ran mostly local for the last five years, some overnights but usually home at night. The area can be tricky, plenty of freight, and also plenty of people tripping over each other to offer to haul it cheaper and cheaper. It is a ridiculously cutthroat market.

    nikmirbre and macher Thank this.
