Anybody else getting HV's on the driving test?

I almost failed out and got sent home because my tester kept calling HV's on me during the driving test.

Did perfect on the pre-trip, backing, and would have passed the road test with low points BUT I kept getting a HV.

I had to go to one of the higher ups to get waved through with two instructors vouching for me saying I was a good driver.

I talked to several other instructors whose students would have trifecta'd but got HV autofail on the driving test.

HV's seem completely subjective to me and there's absolutely no oversight.

Has this been an issue for anybody else?

I wouldn't want to get close enough to the testers to risk herpes. However, H.V. is a Hazardous Violation. It's for stuff like impeding the flow of traffic and whatnot.

And it's totally instructor discretion. I got one one day for not being cautious enough and turning in front of a car that was like 100 feet away, the next day I got one for being too cautious and letting the cars pass before I turned.

Another instructor I talked to said his student got an HV for turning in front of a car even though the car had a blinker on and was slowing down to turn. The student should have acted like the blinker didnt exist.

It seems like they're throwing H.V.s out like candy now days.

It actually says a lot that no one has ever heard of them even though most of you took the CDL test.

When it comes to blinkers, never trust the vehicle with blinkers on.They may have the right blinker on and go straight.Even in my personal vehicle I don't trust others that's supposedly getting ready to make a turn.

Im not arguing that, and i definitely think it should be a loss of points on the test. But that dude got auto-failed for it. Pretty brutal.

Prime only has 4 testers though and all of them are doing this.

If you pass the driving test is almost by luck. If you have anything unusual happen you get an HV.

24 people tested on Monday, and 19 were retests the next day.

Just FYI to all the prospective Prime PSDs.

Take another look at how long your tractor trailer is, subtract that from the 100 feet you gave the other guy before you pulled out in front of him and that's the distance you got to get you vehicle up to match traffic speed.

you were a moving road block. That's dangerous.

You say it's by luck if you pass... Wow! you passed. way to call yourself out.
