I wish that program would trickle down to the rest of us, this mac30 crap is really starting to get on my nerves.

You own the truck at the end of the lease? Or doyou have an option to buy it at the end?

I need a refill on my popcorn, can one of you rich L/O buy me a refill.

I would like to know how much some of you L/o are netting end of year. Feel free to pm me if you don't want to post here.

At the end, you have 2 options, purchase it or turn it in. I have talked to many that have turned it in and received a new one. When I am running south, which mostly I do, as a solo, 2800 miles per week, I was netting $1300/wk before taxes. Now I am a Mentor, my choice, and netting a whole lot more

I believe for a new truck the total 'all in' is just under $700 a week. I will set forth a formula (somebody correct me if I did it wrong) and each person can plug in their own numbers to calculate.

2500 miles in a week lets say 2250 loaded at $0.92 + $0.432 and 250 miles empty at $0.81. 2500 divided by 7 miles per gallon times $4 bucks a gallon (again, plug your own numbers in here like your true truck payment, true fuel consumption and expense) equals $3042 +$202.50=$3244.50 minus (2500/7*4)=$1428.57+700=$2128.57 so $3244.5-$2128.57=$1115.93 or $0.44.6 cents per mile.

Out of this your are expected to pay your own health insurance, maintain the truck, and pay your own taxes. Some ways to increase the cents per miles is to avoid deadheading too much, get better than 7 miles per gallon, refrain from idling too much, shop for cheap fuel stay out of the hills and mountains which lower your mpg's, snow and hurricanes which can trap your in storms for days while they close down the roads and customers shut down, not to mention slowing down production miles where in the flat land you can run 60 but in the mountains about half that so missing out on that Plus 1 load every week

. I think the typical newby type of Swift driver is eligible to sign a lease at the 6 month mark where I think the company driver at 6 months earns $0.30 give or take per mile. So right away it looks like a pay raise but remember the maintenance. You could probably go a year and a half or two just with routine oil changes but one day soon 10 tires is a big $$ item. Don't forget to set aside emergency hotel money for when the rig is in the shop for 5 days, even though it is covered by warranty they still work on the trucks first come first serve.

Depends on the company. Some have more options than others, but for the most part your choices will be either Freightliner or Volvo. KW, Mack, and a few others stay away from leasing trucks to bottom feeder outfits.
