Yep. Three years. Otherwise I'd have to buy myself out. Unless something weird happens, not seeing that being an issue.

I was 45 when I started driving and 30 years later I'm still doing it.

I got mine at 49/50. I’m now 57 and I’m still out here. Been running nonstop. I wasn’t the youngest student in my class by far. If my health permits, I plan to drive until I’m about 70 so I’ve got another 13 years to go which would give me a grand total of 20 years. My advice Is try and get in with the best company you can to start, but it probably won’t be the best company you can end up at. Put in about a year and a half and come out with a completely clean record and you can pretty much go anywhere.

And now you're 90. I admire your work ethic. If I recall correctly you don't exactly need the money either. World traveler etc.

    America needs more like you.
    Younger generations should take note.

    You don't recall correctly.
I am 69 now, I have never traveled the world and I have very little money.

I’m 60:D Better late than never! Been a childhood dream to be a Trucker and here I am with about a month experience. Wish I had done this right out of high school.

Do some traveling overseas and then you'll want to live forever!

I don't have any interest to travel overseas. The couple months I spent in Japan was quite enough for me.

Earned my CDL November 2024 in early 50s

After 30 years in the corporate world I needed a change. No regrets.

    tscottme Thanks this.
