    The "News" has long since given up trying to be accurate. Reporters know nothing except grammar. If one, or especially if several sources, told them the the sky was green they would report the sky is green.

    If anyone is dumb enough to ask liars what is happening they deserve to be misled.

    There's just a shortage of people that want to work period... every place I can think of from gas station to truck drivers is hiring

    There is a shortage of parking areas after 1600. There is a shortage of ppl willing to stay away from home for weeks at a time, and get treated like $#!+. There's a shortage of decent food at truck stops. Most are subway or some other garbage.

    But no there is no shortage of drivers. There are 100's of thousands of ppl with a CDL. However they won't drive a truck OTR because of the experiences they had. Places like CRST. England, Swift. Werner, J.B. Hunt put a very bad taste in ppl's mouth about OTR trucking. So the returned home to work local driving jobs. Or to work a regular job that doesn't require driving a truck.
