I'd still try to get it cleaned and checked if possible. It's not hard to do.

Had a new one in 2016, and just got a new one a month ago.
Both have this same issue. Works great when it's cold enough to run steady. But when the temperature is say in the 50s, they come on, warm the sleeper and shut down. It takes a large drop in the temperature before it kicks back on.
Spoke to the tech. There is a setting that can be adjusted to lessen the drop.
Its probably not healthy for the espar to cycle repeatedly in a short period of time.
    Check your setting and adjust.

Yes they do... But still require electricity for the small fuel pump that provides the diesel.

It is called a thermostat, it isn't supposed to wait until the temp drops to turn back on.

Get a cheap walmart car fan, move the air around the sleeper so the thermostat knows that it is getting cold in the other part of the sleeper.

When my company puts one into a truck, they add a fourth battery to the box. They cut in and out because they are regulating a set temperature. If it cuts out and doesn't come back on, it's drained the batteries to the safe level. They usually don't last longer than 8 hours.

Mine just stays on continuously, even at low low setting, still purring away all night. There's something wrong with yours.
