I have one. I would buy another. It has given me codes off the ecm and saved me a lot of money that way. I was never satisfied with my fuel mileage. It showed that I needed to run in double over at a higher highway speed. Go figure. The scan gauge was correct. Better fuel mileage by running faster.
The scangaugeD is the same thing as the scanguageKR with just the following differences: The KR: Supposedly uses a slightly longer time period to calculate mpg for smoother readings (but I notice no difference when I set both at their slowest update rates) calculates profit per mile profit per hour profit per trip (A & B) will display ECM mileage Has Kevin Rutherford's signature on the front The D shows fuel cost per mile, which the KR does not. You can send a D to linear logic to be reprogrammed to a KR for ~$25
Buy one online and save more, I bought my roof mount ac from these people. It is also great for clearing codes. http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/parts/...GLSoaqGlzdYWzx5czcxQ9S_Gs7VTqncvA4aAkS48P8HAQ
In this case, you will love it cause it's going to save you money. And you will feel really stupid thinking of all the money you've wasted over the years. That's how it went for me. You can have 4 things displayed at one on it. I like having the average mpg, the instant mpg, and the boost psi. It was a real eye opener to see how little a change in boost had such a big impact on fuel consumption.
I bought the Scangauge D from Advance Auto parts using a 25% off coupon and that was the cheapest price I've ever seen ($115). Would definitely buy another, even if you are already good at getting good MPG, you will be even better at it with instant MPG being displayed to you. I put it on the list of must haves for an owner operator, especially considering that it pays for itself.
