I'm looking for information on maintenance of Decker truck lines and Warner. I like companies that treat their assets right and would like to know.

Id be less concerned about the maintaince and moreso about what chuckle ####s they hire to hold a wheel. Both are likely to follow the maintaince schedule and have roughly the same overall level of techs. Where your going to get stuck is if they give you a rig some moron tore up that your going to need to go through and debug.

D43C8106-CAB4-4903-BFEF-00DB8BB97843.jpeg One constant with all these Mega’s, unless you get a brand new truck right out of the box, will be one that you will keep up with proper maintenance and service intervals, what you’ll be getting is a truck that will be slightly abused, abused, or ready for the scrap heap. Maintenance starts with the driver, not the shop. If the driver doesn’t look over their assigned truck every day, then things break, unfortunately, they usually break in bum skid Idaho, not the shop at the terminal.

To answer your question, I pass Werner trucks everyday, most of them look like a rolling pile of plastic ready to fall apart at the next bump. Decker on the other hand, looks as though their equipment is taken well care of.

I’d be more concerned with this issue then a mechanical one.

Werner is the obvious answer. Here’s how we can deduce the better company when it comes to maintenance:

    - It says right on their trailers: “Werner only hires safe and courteous drivers.”

    - Well, you can’t be all the safe and courteous you could be if you’re not doing a proper pre-trip

    - They’re so safe and courteous they only drive 64 mph, allowing the motoring public to pass. A lot of them wave at me, and a few have complimented my cape.

I think I’ve offered sufficient evidence for all to clearly see that Werner is the victor here!

I’d like to congratulate Dexter for a great competition and I know we’ll all see great preventative maintenance from them in the future!

You mean they don't do pre-trips? Say it ain't so. I saw a sign on one of their trucks that said something like "driver must do pre trip inspection daily" so I know they must always do them. Lol
