I was just wanting to get some more information on this company. I have already completed my 3 interviews and a ride along and my road test. I am scheduled for my DOT physical and agility test on Monday. I was told I am being given the green light but I am not to sure what to expect next. The job will be out of St. Joe MO at a satellite yard. Anyone familiar with how or what exactly they do? So far I've heard all good things about the company from what I could find. Getting pretty anxious I guess you could say. Thanks in advance
Anyone out there from Dot food?

I didn't see any threads on here concerning them. I assume you've google searched them and their website? I see 'em all the time on 40.
Navyvet2003 Thanks this. -
Yes I originally found the job online (monster I think) and applied. I also searched all the threads and found a couple but for the most part they seem like a pretty decent company from everything I've found. Time will tell I suppose. I passed all my tests and I am now just waiting to get a start date.

Good luck - maybe you can post some info for others after you get started?

i got a buddy that i went to school with that drives for them out of vidalia ga and he loves working for them not one complaint

Search ""DOT FOODS"" (in quotation marks to include the whole string) and there are a few old threads concerning them. Overall they seem like a pretty good fit for some drivers but will probably unload a lot of freight there. I was about to work for them but found out they ran automatics and hesitated, then I got a much better job elsewhere so it was just as well.

What do you want to know?
Yes we run automatics but I tell you sitting on the LIE (495) in rush hour traffic, gives your left leg quite a break. I'm normally home every other night and often get 2-3 day weekends. Lately I've been running. Load to Boston on Monday for Tuesday deliveries and then a Wednesday for Thursday to Long Island but stuck out till Friday making pick ups in Jersey and PA.
Once in a while you'll go out for a whole week to another DC running them transfer trailers with po's on them. Gives your back and body a rest from throwing freight other weeks.
Pay is excellent, my first year as a driver and I am going to clear well over the $50k they advertise.
