I drove for them from 86 to 91 and made a good amount of money. Equiptment was good and they kept us running. I got caught banging the girl that was working in the payroll department in the drivers showers and got fired

I knew a guy that pulled for them back years ago he said they ran hard while he was there. He got off the road for a local ABF gig. No idea what happened to them.

Yes I worked for Carretta too in Paramus and then Carlstadt I got a KW K100 a Used Mayflower tractor. Went to work for DTI in Sioux City Iowa transferred to Pittston PA, Owner had a race car and ITS closed Company Down put !Joe in Jail sold off equipment mostly just trailers and yes Swift bought almost all the new 53 trailers. older equipment went to highest bidder, I went with a guy who bought 5. Shame
Old man Carretta his wife put him under in the divorce drove the company into the ground, I believe it was on purpose..

I remember DTI out of Pittston wanted to work for them in the early 90’s but I chose Millis instead. DTI had a rep for running pretty hard if my failing memory serves me right.

Mike, I thought DTI was out of Sioux city area and TRL was up in Pittston- (Transcontinental refrigerated lines)....

I used to see Both carriers a lot in the mid 90's........Poor TRL back then in the Winter- no Cell Phones-Trying to get up past Wilkes Barre in the Snow at Night time....
