Anyone spending $300 a night for a motel at MATS?

I already spend way to many hours around truck drivers during the week, last thing I wanna do on a day off is spend more time with them. No thanks.

 

But MATS has a nice light show!!!

exactly, which even when i was in the area of the Iowa 80, i never stopped there either.

 

Plenty of cheap rooms available in that area for those dates.

In reality, I hate crowds - and spending money needlessly. Joplin is on my back door step and I can’t be bothered with the chrome shop BS shows either.

Mustn’t be much of a trucker I guess.

 

I live close enough to L-ville to drive down and back the same day.

I don't like crowds, either, but I've always liked trade shows. It doesn't make sense, but I no longer question it.

I missed the free registration window for MATS, and I have a wildly unpredictable work schedule these days, so it looks like I won't make it to MATS this year anyway.

 

No I have better uses for my money
