2nd day at a hotel. Truck just shut off on me while I was driving around 3am. I got it towed to a hotel, waiting for repair. Or should I say, waiting for the mechanics to come to work. I don’t blame them, wind gust up to -45.

I’m guessing all my batteries ran out of juice. No crank, no lights, nothing when I turn the key on. Fuel is not jelly though so I don’t know.

I know how to deal with a skid, but this is the first time ever where my truck just suddenly stopped working. I mean, the steering wheel wouldn’t budge. My arms are still strained from pulling the steering wheel 2 inches to the right, I wanted to stop at the shoulder and I did.

Just went down to get breakfast. Apparently I’m not the only driver here, lots of drivers here lol.

    mjd4277 and J.S. Thank this.

    Another day at the office.
I'm frozen in in Kalamazoo mi.
Truck berating, won't go over 30 mph.
Waiting for road service whenever they
    Decide to come to work.

Luckily it will still idle all day long.
The little truck stop has a bathroom,
    That's all I need.

    mjd4277 and iceman32 Thank this.

I'd bet you guys have lots of company from the sounds of it. Mechanics and towing services probably have more work than they can handle.

Hopefully you wont be stuck too long.

I'm local here in Chicago, small fleet of 40 and I'm pretty sure all of us broke down. Pass 2 weeks I been in 3 trucks because of the cold. Since yesterday, nobody's truck wants to start. Breakdown is saying there's a few days wait to get to everybody. Good luck

No ####. I've been up and down 131 a couple times
    For loads that got cancelled.
    94 is good.
It's like they don't give a dam about 131 even
    Thru Kalamazoo.

Even i 196 this afternoon had 0 plows or salt trucks from grand Rapids to south haven at all...multiple accidents and people sliding all over the place...totally unacceptable by far...

I chose to stay out of Chicagoland this week. To big of a risk for truck issues. That was unwanted money I was unwilling to dish out.
