In trucking it's important that you make decisions like the outcome is important, not like there is a reset-button just waiting to be pressed.

I don't know if the person he's driving with is a trainer or just a more experienced lead driver. He said he's making 22 cpm for all miles the truck rolls while the other guy is getting thirty something cents. The 22cpm for somebody fresh out of school is not that bad. He needs to find out if 2k miles a week is all he can expect. That's unacceptable for a team truck.

CRST offers competitive pay, especially for experienced drivers. How much you’ll earn when you first start out will depend on whether you pay for schooling or become a contract student (join the CRST company sponsored training program).

When you first start out, you’ll be splitting your mileage pay between you and the driver you team with. The pay listed below is based on this split mileage pay scale.

    CRST Pay for Contract Students

    • Month 1: 22cpm (28 days will be spent with a trainer)
    • Month 2: 22cpm
    • Months 3-5: 23cpm
    • Months 6-12: 31cpm
Salary for Grads Who Pay for Schooling Upfront

    • Month 1: 22cpm (28 days will be spent with a trainer)
    • Months 2-4: 26cpm
    • Months 5-6: 30cpm
    • Months 7-12: 31cpm
    Experienced Trucker Salary

Once you reach the 13 month milestone, you will start earning experienced driver pay.

    • Months 13-18: 34cpm
    • Months 19-24: 36cpm
    • Months 25-30: 38cpm
    • Months 31-42: 39cpm
    • Months 43-54: 40cpm
    • Months 55-72: 41cpm
    • Month 73 and beyond: 43cpm
During your first year on the job, you’ll receive at least three pay increases. Once you make it past your first year, you’ll receive a raise every six months to two years. At this point, pay increases will depend on your experience.

Yes! This right here. You forgot to add that NOONE is special enough to make a shady company act right. So stop thinking you being the best employee they ever had will make this scenario play out differently.

How much do you owe? Can you get a loan to pay it off? Can you make payment arrangements?

Contact some companies and ask. Don't ask if they will buy the contract, just ask if they will hire you. Try Navajo Express; they have a drop yard in Chino.
    Try KKW Trucking in Pomona.
Drivers quit CRST under contract every day and go right to work for other companies. Get something lined up, then quit.

So after 3 and 1/2 years you'll make 40 cpm? Is that their recruiting motto? Only 42 months to a decent living!
